Crowned Hoops is where Kings fans can read original stories and updates by me about the team and its players as well as links to news from the Kings' official site, around the Internet and other Kings blogs. This site also has links to the official Kings websites as well as the Twitter accounts of Kings players and staff.
You won't have to worry about getting nothing but rehashed information all of the time. I'm either at the practices or games myself. I'm attending training camp and planning on going to games as a member of the media.
Stories from both this site and on my Blogcritics feature under the same name have appeared on FOX Sports on MSN via Yardbarker, USA Today, Madison Square Garden and Sactown Royalty.
Crowned Hoops is where you can find all things about the Sacramento Kings.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Sacramento and raised in Antelope, not that far from the city or Arco Arena. It wouldn't be crazy to call me a Kings fan, but it won't stop me from giving a fair analysis of the team and its opponent.
I'm going into my second year as a member of the media. I started writing about the Kings in 2009 by attending media day for a story for my school paper that never materialized. After that, I decided to do a school project on Tyreke Evans, which I submitted to Sacramento Press.
SacPress liked the Kings stories I submitted and I was hired to write for the Kings' "Tyreke Evans for Rookie of the Year Campaign," or RekeROY campaign, through SacPress. In all I attended 11 games that season, interviewing big names like Kobe Bryant, Brandon Roy and Jason Kidd about Evans.
After the campaign ended I continued to contribute to SacPress and started a Blogcritics Sports feature under the same name of this blog. I also run two other blogs. Rob on Hoops, a general NBA blog, and The Archives, my résumé blog of all of my work.
I recently started writing weekly Kings recaps for Sac Midtown.
Now, I'm in Year 2 of what I hope to be a long career of sports media, bringing Kings fans info about the team they love.
